Walmart: What I'd Like to Know

Wondering.

How many of the picketers, protesting against Walmart, actually work for Walmart.

I'd bet most are not even employed by Walmart.

I bet they are there with a different motive.

Something to do with the union.  Uh huh.

AND-- I wonder how many people realize that Target, Penneys, Kmart, Sears--to name a few-- pay their people the same hourly wage as Walmart.

Yet you don't see any protests there.

Maybe it's because Walmart is one of the largest employers in the world and THAT would be a big cherry for the union.

Uh huh.  I smell a rat.

By the way, here is a list of the ten biggest employers in the world:

U.S. Department of Defense  3.2 million

Chinese Army  2.3 million

Walmart   2.1 million

McDonald's  1.7 million

Chinese National Petroleum   1.7 million

State Grid Corporation of China 1.6 million

National Health Service (England)  1.4 million

Indian Railways  1.4 million

China Post Group  900,000

Hon Hai Precision Industry   800,000

Election Results

The people have voted.

Now it's up to the electorates.

On December 17th they will cast their votes

Those votes will be sent to the Senate and read on January 6th.

The results of that will determine who will be sworn in on January 29th.

Several presidents have won the majority vote over the years but lost in the electoral college vote.

Hence, we do not have a democracy.

We have a Republic thanks to the wisdom and insight of the framers of our Constitution.

The car is still headed toward the cliff.

Sixteen trillion dollars in debt.

What will the next four years add to that debt?

Unless that car changes course we are going over the cliff.

Disaster is imminent if we don't DETOUR NOW.

Its later than you think.

Geraldo Rivera

Geraldo Rivera is endorsing Mitt Romney.

He says Romney will be better for our country as far as the economy is concerned.

But Geraldo said he will vote for Barak Obama because he wants to make sure women retain the right to abortions and doesn't want another Scalia appointed to the Supreme Court.

I think you are a foolish man Geraldo.  Likable, even nice...but very foolish.

If a country is in shambles financially, what good will it be for women?

How does abortion trump food, shelter, and jobs?

Keep a country in financial shambles so women can abort their babies????

This, folks, shows you how wonky our thinking has become.

So, there you have it.

If you are worried about your job, Medicare, SS and anything financial vote for Romeny.

If you are more concerned about keeping the right to abort babies, vote for Obama.

The Shame

I've never liked Michael Moore and I like him even less after watching this.

Shame on him.

And shame on everyone who helped him.

Isn't he a Democrat?

If I were a democrat I'd be denouncing him and this video.

If you are a Democrat and are not denouncing it shame on you.

Silence is not always golden.

It is often yellow.

And this is just one example of how low people will go to 'win'.

Sad isn't it.

It's time for a change.

Another Reason to Not Vote for President Obama: In a Word

And what would that word be?

COAL.

We are the Saudi Arabia of coal.

Yet, President Obama is responsible for imposing restrictions that are crippling the coal industry.

We need to use the resources we have, instead of making the oil countries, who are mostly our enemies, richer.

We need to develop clean coal operations too.

But in the meantime, while we are doing so, we need to be able to use the coal we have.

What good will clean air be to a nation that is in decline?

Or a nation who has become the slave of other nations who hate her?

Oh yeah, I can breathe fresh clean air, while I'm in bondage.

That's a real gain, huh?

NOT!

Throwing the baby out with the bathwater is foolish.

I think President Obama has made many foolish choices for our nation.

I think he was ill prepared to be President of the Untied States.

Especially at the time he took office.

His opponent has been a very successful Governor and an astute successful business man.

His opponent loves this country and I bet he has never sat in the church pew and listened to his pastor spout

"GOD DAMN AMERICA!"

Prsident Obama says he was not aware his pastor did that.

Oh, really?

I say:  "that is a bunch of hooey."

I wasn't born yesterday.

And on the small chance that it was truthful, then I'd have to say 'duh'.

We certainly don't need someone who is so in the dark that he isn't even aware of the hate being promoted by a church he was involved in for 20 years.

Which may explain Benghazigate.

Really Mr. President:  Where is your head?  What were you thinking.

I think it's time for a change.

DECISION TIME: Joe Biden Has Given You the Most Compelling Reason to Vote for Mitt Romney

From his own mouth "I always say what I mean" vice-president Joe Biden uttered these words for all the world to hear : "the middle class has been buried these last four years"---the period of time President Obama has been in office.

I've learned over the years that everything rises and falls on leadership.

President Obama's leadership has failed us.

We have millions of people unemployed or underemployed.

And instead of owning up to his own failings, he blames it on the previous administration.

He plays politics and caters to the unions to get their support.

He has been catering to minority groups to get their support.

And the rest of us have been thrown under the bus.

Buried.  Unable to dig ourselves out.

The President tells us he cares about us and will fight for us.  He appeals to our emotions.

And too many Americans get amnesia when they become emotional.  Truth falls by the wayside.

Caring is not enough.

There has to be a plan--a plan that will work.

We've had 4 years of failed plans and policies.

Mitt Romney has told us he would reduce the deficit by lowering taxes, decreasing spending, and eliminating some of the tax deductions.

And he thinks more power should be returned to the states, which is as it should be.

We do not need an intrusive giant federal bureaucracy controlling our day to day lives like a Papa making all the children share by redistributing the wealth of hard working Americans who have a right to voluntarily share their wealth through charitable giving instead of having it seized through burdensome taxation.

We need a safe country with opportunity and justice for ALL Americans, not just a chosen few.

So that we may pursue those inalienable rights endowed by our Creator:  life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

And for the record:  why should wealthy Americans have to pay more in taxes than the rest of us?

Do they get special roads to travel on?  Or extra privileges at our national parks?  Do they get special protection from our military?

No they don't.  They get the same as the rest of us, but are expected to pay more for those services.

How is that just?

To all those Americans who cry foul and say the rich should pay their fair share; should be willing to give a little more, I say "that's a bunch of huey".

Their money is their own, just like mine is my own.

My lot in life is what it is.  We are all given the same opportunity in America and some do better than others.

Back in the day kids used to be told 'that's the way the cookie crumbles' or 'that's the way the ball bounces' and were expected to suck it up and move on, to make our own 'luck'.

But now-a-days all the little 'cry-babies' run to government like petulant children saying 'why does he have more toys than I do?" and then sit back with a big smug smile while government gives it to him, taking it away from the other, forgetting that what goes around comes around.

Forgetting that 'what the government gives it can also take away".

The problem with redistribution of wealth is that you soon run out of other people's money, and then what?

It's not a good plan, never has been a good plan and our founding fathers knew that fact when they framed our government.

Don't you think it's time to get back to basics?

Don't you think it's time for a change?

Speech From the Rose Garden

Speech From the Rose Garden

For the full transcript go to:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/09/12/remarks-president-deaths-us-embassy-staff-libya

Having read the full transcript and watched the video, in the context of the speech, I do not believe President Obama was calling the death of our ambassador and three other Americans the result of a terrorist attack.

He did refer to acts of terror being unable to shake the resolve of the American people.

When the shooter killed 12 of our citizens at the viewing of The Dark Knight Rises, that was an act of terror.  But it was not a terrorist attack in the sense of Islamic jihad.

You read the President's words  and draw your own conclusion.

No matter what conclusion you draw, the facts remain:   for days, the White House blamed the death of our ambassador and 3 other citizens on a  video and not on the perpetrators of the crime.

As well, the White House  seemed to ignore the fact that it happened on the anniversary of 9/11. as if it was just a coincidence and not planned.

Below you will find copied, from the Whitehouse website, the published text of the President's speech from the Rose Garden, in its entirety as published on the website.

The White House
Office of the Press Secretary

Remarks by the President on the Deaths of U.S. Embassy Staff in Libya

Rose Garden
10:43 A.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT:  Good morning.  Every day, all across the world, American diplomats and civilians work tirelessly to advance the interests and values of our nation.  Often, they are away from their families.  Sometimes, they brave great danger.

Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi.  Among those killed was our Ambassador, Chris Stevens, as well as Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith.  We are still notifying the families of the others who were killed.  And today, the American people stand united in holding the families of the four Americans in our thoughts and in our prayers.

The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack.  We're working with the government of Libya to secure our diplomats.  I've also directed my administration to increase our security at diplomatic posts around the world.  And make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.

Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths.  We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.  But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence.  None.  The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts.

Already, many Libyans have joined us in doing so, and this attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya.  Libyan security personnel fought back against the attackers alongside Americans.  Libyans helped some of our diplomats find safety, and they carried Ambassador Stevens’s body to the hospital, where we tragically learned that he had died.

It's especially tragic that Chris Stevens died in Benghazi because it is a city that he helped to save.  At the height of the Libyan revolution, Chris led our diplomatic post in Benghazi.  With characteristic skill, courage, and resolve, he built partnerships with Libyan revolutionaries, and helped them as they planned to build a new Libya.  When the Qaddafi regime came to an end, Chris was there to serve as our ambassador to the new Libya, and he worked tirelessly to support this young democracy, and I think both Secretary Clinton and I relied deeply on his knowledge of the situation on the ground there.  He was a role model to all who worked with him and to the young diplomats who aspire to walk in his footsteps
.
Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war. Today, the loss of these four Americans is fresh, but our memories of them linger on.  I have no doubt that their legacy will live on through the work that they did far from our shores and in the hearts of those who love them back home.

Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks.  We mourned with the families who were lost on that day.  I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed.  And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it.  Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.  Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America.  We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act.  And make no mistake, justice will be done.

But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers.  These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity.  They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.

We grieve with their families, but let us carry on their memory, and let us continue their work of seeking a stronger America and a better world for all of our children.

Thank you.  May God bless the memory of those we lost and may God bless the United States of America.
END

Grumpy Old Men

Well, now we know Mr. Vice President that you are a grumpy old man.

And not only grumpy but a bit goofy too.

What was it that kept you laughing so much, showing your neon white teeth?

You behaved like a sophomoric adolescent.

AND you kept interrupting Representative Ryan like you were a kindergartner.

Granted,  at your age, you probably are in your second childhood if not dotage.

I mention dotage because I do wonder if your faculties are beginning to fail you.

YOU-- along with the President --knew nothing of the repeated requests for extra security in Libya???

What were the two of you doing?

I thought it was the job of the President and Vice President to know what is going on, especially when it comes to national security.

And to blame your lack of knowledge on the CIA, saying you only knew what they told you?

I say "that's a bunch hooey".

See, I know words like "malarkey" too.

And here's another thing that causes me to wonder about your faculties--or perhaps you no longer understand English?

Representative Ryan explained, every time he was asked, that the Romney Ryan plan to reduce the deficit is a framework with 3 sides:  1.  cutting expenses  2. lowering income taxes on the middle class and 3.  eliminating some tax deductions THE SPECIFICS TO BE DETERMINED BY CONGRESS, IN A BIPARTISAN EFFORT.

You never did get 'it'--that the specific details are not worked out, hence there are no details to give.

Hey Mr. Vice President--does that sound familiar???

I recall that President Obama made a lot of promises-- most of which he has failed to keep-- offering up no specifics and that was fine by you and your party.

But here's the difference for me.

I know that President Obama and the Democrat party policies failed.

I and my family are living breathing proof.

My husband lost his job.  When he finally found a job, he joined the ranks of the under-employed.

He earns 20% of what he once earned.  And his college degree is pretty much useless.

And he is one of millions.

It's time for a change.

Have You Heard?

The woman who alleged Cain harassed her--Karen Kraushaar-- and left under a paid agreement, also filed a complaint in her next job.

Doesn't this throw up a red flag?

If it doesn't it should.

This important fact was reported on the morning news--barely. And it's being almost totally discounted and ignored.

In my mind this woman is lacking credibility.

Or is this just some pitiful victim who has bad luck on every job she goes to?

I have not believed the complaints against Cain and I still do not believe them.

The latest accuser--Susan Bialek-- was laughing and giddy like a school girl in the spot light--IMO-- when she was making her claim public.

Surely the occasion demands somberness at the very least? If women want others to take sexual harassment seriously they must behave accordingly.

Her demeanor and the way she 'read' her statement causes me to seriously question her credibility.

At the very least Herman Cain deserves fairness, and until he has been proven guilty he is innocent.

These women have accused him. It falls to them to prove their claims. IMO they have not done that. And until they do I will pay them no mind.

And their desire to gather and discuss it publicly as a group?!!  Give me a break.  That would be nothing more than a kangaroo court.  Or a modern day lynching.

If that happens, and I were Herman Cain, I'd be playing the race card.

We should all be outraged that so much is being made of a serious matter with so little evidence or justification.

If and when there is some credible proof and witnesses against Herman Cain, then and only then will I listen seriously.

If you want to read the details of Karen Kraushaar's 2nd complaint go to this link:
