Soon we will begin a new year. This is a good time to reflect on the past.
A good place to start is to count your blessings. Mine are multiple and plenteous. God is good.
Looking ahead I am excited and I anticipate joy. There will be difficult times for sure. But such is life. The sweet would not seem so sweet without the bitter. The bitter cup serves a purpose.
This is a good week to begin de-cluttering. Paring things down as you head into Spring makes the spring cleaning that much easier.
And we will forge ahead with our healthy goals to rid ourselves of excess fat. We've for certain made progress. Perhaps not as we had wished or intended--but progress nonetheless.
Missing the mark is part of the learning curve. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, as the saying goes. As Ma Ingalls used to say and I oft quote: "there is no great loss without some small gain."
Losses and gains, great and small, are the tapestry of life. That which mars also marks and makes unique.
