A Nation Blessed By God

It is evident from the preamble to our Constitution that our founding fathers believed in the Creator. From our foundation as a nation, the Lord God was revered and worshiped and the Judeo-Christian ethic is evident in the founding documents.

Psalm 33:12 declares: "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord...". And these United States of American have been blessed beyond measure.

But as Bob Dylan sang in the sixties "times, they are a changing" and the feminist declare "we've come a along way baby", we've moved radically away from God and as a nation we are paying the price.

On this 5th year anniversary of the destruction of the WTC, let us be reminded how really helpless we are in the face of disaster...I imagine many who never believed called out to God for help on THAT day.

But let us also realize that there is more to fear than the terrorists and their annihilation. There is a Lord God who created man in His image and we the created should be worshipping Him. Even on our best day we are facing disaster if we are ignorant of Him or if we ignore Him.

"Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him....from the place of His habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth." Psalm 33:8-14
"....there have been many times when I have shed bitter tears, when if I had understood the situation better, I would have celebrated my good luck instead."
