" For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land. " Song of Solomon

Burden Bearers

Scripture says to bear your own burdens. "For every man shall bear his own burden." Galatians 6:5. But, it also says "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" Galatians 6:2. A contradiction? No.

We are not to sit on our backsides waiting for a handout, but we are to bear our own burdens in as much as we are given the ability to do so. But, when one looses the ability to bear his own burden , he becomes dependent on others. And it is at that point, those "others", if they are following Christ, will share in or take on the burden of another.
"....there have been many times when I have shed bitter tears, when if I had understood the situation better, I would have celebrated my good luck instead."
